In a series of tweets, Rep. Jay Obernolte, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 23rd district since 2021, shared his views on California’s high-speed rail project, constituent services, and initiatives on artificial intelligence. Obernolte, who holds a degree from the California Institute of Technology, began his political career in the California State Assembly.

On April 1, 2025, Rep. Jay Obernolte remarked on California's high-speed rail, citing budgetary overspending and delays. He stated: "California’s high-speed rail is $100 billion over budget and 17 years behind schedule. Now, California is asking taxpayers for another $7 billion to keep it crawling forward. This is what happens when government waste meets California’s high costs and endless red tape."

On April 3, 2025, Obernolte discussed a successful constituent service case, which involved expediting a request with the Veterans Administration. He tweeted: "One of my constituents from Apple Valley had been attempting to add his wife to CHAMPVA since November 2024. After contacting my office, we coordinated with the VA, and his request was resolved in under three weeks. If you or a family member need assistance with a federal agency, https://t.co/piwRN6WGMQ"

Later, also on April 3, 2025, he introduced his legislative efforts concerning technology. Obernolte announced: "Artificial intelligence is one of the most transformative technologies of our time, but currently the tools needed to develop it are out of reach for most Americans. I've introduced the CREATE AI Act with @RepDonBeyer to democratize access to cutting-edge AI resources by"
