Rep. Jay Obernolte has been appointed as the Chairman of the Research and Technology Subcommittee under the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. This committee is responsible for shaping national policies related to scientific research and technological development. It oversees federal funding and promotes innovation through its five subcommittees: Energy, Environment, Investigations and Oversight, Research and Technology, and Space and Aeronautics.

"As the Chairman of the Research and Technology Subcommittee, I am honored to lead efforts to advance America’s leadership in science and innovation," stated Rep. Obernolte.
