Rep. Jay Obernolte, a current U.S. Congress member representing California’s 23rd District, has recently shared insights on productive engagements through social media posts. Obernolte, originally from Chicago, Illinois, and an alumnus of the California Institute of Technology, is known for his active involvement in district matters, having taken over the congressional seat from Paul Cook in 2021.
On April 28, 2025, Rep. Obernolte expressed appreciation for a meeting with Dr. Rajasekhar, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics in California. The congressman emphasized the shared commitment to the “physical, mental, and social well-being of children and adolescents” in the district.
During a subsequent engagement on April 29, 2025, Obernolte met with Redlands Mayor Mario Saucedo and Mayor Pro Tem Marc Shaw. The discussion centered around both “the challenges and opportunities facing the city,” with emphasis on collaboration to advance public safety efforts.
Finally, on April 30, 2025, Obernolte toured the new San Bernardino County Fire Department Headquarters. Accompanied by Fire Protection District Chief of Administration Josh Pullen, he noted the “innovative approaches” utilized by the department in emergency response, looking forward to future cooperation.
Jay Obernolte’s commitment to local issues and collaboration highlights his continuing role since transitioning from the California State Assembly to Congress in 2021.
