In his first post at 03:14 UTC, Obernolte stated, “I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the bipartisan Impact Aid Infrastructure Partnership Act, which will help repair, modernize, and rebuild aging school facilities in federally impacted communities. This is especially important for our district, where many schools face unique”.
Later that day at 16:37 UTC, he commented on federal fiscal policy: “America’s national debt has just passed $37 trillion, placing an unbearable burden on future generations. It is time for Washington to stop reckless spending and commit to balancing the federal budget!”. Jay Obernolte has served as the representative for California’s 23rd district since replacing Paul Cook in 2021. Before his tenure in Congress, Obernolte was a member of the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2020. Born in Chicago in 1970 and currently residing in Big Bear Lake, Obernolte graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
