On November 19, 2024, Rep. Obernolte announced that due to the cancellation of a scheduled meeting by the Barstow Chamber of Commerce for the First Street bridge ceremony, his office’s planned Mobile Office Hours would be postponed. On November 20, 2024, Rep. Obernolte expressed his satisfaction over the passage of H.R. 5658, known as the Vote by Mail Tracking Act, in the House of Representatives with his support. The bill is significant for California voters who opt for mail-in voting as it mandates using a Postal Service barcode on each ballot to ensure tracking and transparency in elections. “I’m glad to announce that H.R. 5658, the Vote by Mail Tracking Act, has passed the House with my support.”
