Jay Obernolte has represented California’s 23rd District since replacing Paul Cook in Congress in 2021. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2020. Born in Chicago in 1970 and currently residing in Big Bear Lake with his family, Obernolte graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992.
