Rep. Jay Obernolte, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 23rd district since 2021, has recently posted on social media about key issues facing his constituents, including border security, veterans’ affairs, and recognition of Labor Day.
On August 30, 2025, Obernolte addressed concerns about drug trafficking at the southern border. He wrote, “Fentanyl flowing across our southern border is devastating communities in the High Desert and the Inland Empire. H.R. 1 invests in advanced screening technology, more Border Patrol agents, and stronger infrastructure to stop the flow of deadly drugs before they reach our streets.”
The following day, August 31, 2025, Obernolte highlighted his engagement with veterans in his district. He stated, “I met with my Veteran Advisory Committee to hear directly from those who have served our nation. Our veterans deserve the very best care and support, and I am committed to holding the VA accountable, expanding healthcare access, and improving job training programs that help https://t.co/NMoa6mzyA1”

Thank you for the work you do every day to make America stronger! https://t.co/G0z7OJUq6D”
