Representative Jay Obernolte, a U.S. Congressman from California’s 23rd District, has been actively engaging with his community through social media. His recent posts have focused on opportunities for young artists, honoring military families, and paying tribute to law enforcement officers.
On April 4, 2025, Obernolte announced the opening of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students from his district to participate. On the same day, Obernolte shared his experience of speaking on the House floor to honor Deputy Hector Cuevas Jr. of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Cuevas was killed in the line of duty at the age of 36.
