Rep. Jay Obernolte, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 23rd District since 2021, has been actively voicing his concerns on various national issues through social media. On December 5, 2024, Rep. In another post dated December 6, 2024, he emphasized the need for improved oversight in aviation infrastructure: “The FAA must strengthen oversight of Air Traffic Control (ATC) modernization as 105 of 138 systems are unsustainable or at risk. Delays, cost overruns, & poor planning can threaten safety, but transparency & collaboration with aviation experts are the keys to progress.” This highlights his focus on ensuring safety and efficiency within air traffic control systems.
