On April 1, 2025, Obernolte announced the successful passage of his bill, the Cost-Share Accountability Act, in the House with unanimous support, documenting the achievement in a tweet that reads “I’m proud to announce that my bill, H.R. 359, the Cost-Share Accountability Act, has passed the House by a vote of 405-0! This legislation increases transparency in the Department of Energy by requiring the agency to report on the use of its authority to reduce or eliminate the”.
