Rep. Jay Obernolte, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 23rd district since 2021, commented on the White House’s recent release of its AI Action Plan through his social media account.

On July 23, 2025, Obernolte stated: “I welcome the release of the White House’s AI Action Plan today, which reflects many of the priorities outlined in our bipartisan House AI Task Force report. This is an important step toward advancing AI innovation and maintaining U.S. leadership in AI deployment. I look forward”.

Obernolte has represented California’s 23rd district in Congress since replacing Paul Cook in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2020. He was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1970 and currently resides in Big Bear Lake. Obernolte earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the California Institute of Technology in 1992.
